IBPS Specialist Officer Exam Pattern Details: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is conducting Common Written Examination every year for graduates. Many of the aspirants remain confused about the proper exam pattern of the exams. So, here we are to help you about the right exam pattern of the exams (IBPS SO).

Exam Pattern: The IBPS SO examination will be conducted in three tier i.e the exam will be held in three phases viz preliminary examination, mains examination and personal interview. The prelims and mains exam will be consist of objective type questions. Total marks of the Preliminary Examination will be 125 and the duration for the same is 2 hour and also there will be 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer. If a question remains not answered, there will be no effect of it i.e. no negative mark for a question remain unanswered. Also, it is to keep in mind that the question paper will be bilingual (except English Paper). The final marks of all the candidates will be normalized using equi-percentile method.

Cutoff Score : Each candidate need to obtain minimum score in each subject and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cutoffs will be decided by and the candidates will be shortlisted for interview.

Normalization : The final scores of all candidates if exam held in different sessions; will be normalized using equi-percentile method. Scores upto two decimal points will be taken for the purpose of calculation.

Interview : Those candiates who are shortlisted through Mains Exams will be called for interview. Interiew will be consist of 100 marks and candiates need to secure at lease 40 percent marks (35 percent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD). Finally selected candidates will be shortlisted for provisional allotement.

IBPS SO Salary Structure

Basic Pay for IBPS SO is Rs. 23,700/-. Moreover the scale wise IBPS SO salary details is as below:

Final inhand salary is calculated after subtracting multiple factors from the gross salary. The gross salary is from between 38000-39000 and after deductions Officers will get around 33000-35000 Rs. as take home salary.
